Antiracism

Welcome to CREA’s Antiracism Initiative. Our research and groups work collaboratively to combat discrimination and promote understanding across Roma, Arab-Muslim, Jewish, and diverse religious communities. Through scientific research, community engagement, and evidence-based approaches, we drive social transformation and educational inclusion. Our interdisciplinary work spans cultural studies, gender equality, migration research, and interfaith dialogue, creating meaningful impact through academic excellence and community participation.

Center of Roma Studies – (GEC)

The Centre of Roma Studies (CEG) is a leading research institution advancing Roma community knowledge through participatory research and scientific methodology. Our work combines academic excellence with social impact, focusing on educational inclusion and anti-discrimination initiatives. Working directly with key Roma organizations like Unión Romaní and Fundación Secretariado Gitano, we produce high-impact research, secure institutional recognition, and foster governmental partnerships to support Roma advancement. This scientific publications and evidence-based approach contribute to meaningful social change and community empowerment.

Center of arab and muslim studies

The Centre of Arab Muslim Studies, established in 2000, leads groundbreaking research on Arab community integration and gender equality. Our focus areas include Arab women’s empowerment, migration processes, and multicultural dialogue. Through evidence-based research and community engagement, we analyze successful citizenship participation models and create inclusive discussion spaces. This projects span education, human rights, and social transformation, with notable publications on immigration, labor markets, and cultural identity research.

Group of Jewish Studies

The Group of Jewish Studies conducts innovative research on Jewish identity, culture, and interfaith dialogue. Our interdisciplinary approach combines Holocaust education, anti-discrimination initiatives, and cultural understanding. We collaborate with CEG and Arab-Muslim Studies groups to address contemporary challenges, promote positive Jewish contributions, and create spaces for meaningful dialogue. Key research areas include Shoah education, combating antisemitism, and advancing gender equality in Jewish communities.

Interreligious Dialogue Group

The Interreligious Dialogue Group, established in 2004 and part of UNESCO-CAT network, fosters understanding across diverse religious traditions. Our research focuses on interfaith collaboration, religious diversity, and social transformation through scientific methodology. We study religion-science dialectics, women’s roles in religious traditions, and successful multicultural practices. As members of the Catalan Network of Entities of Interreligious Dialogue, we promote inclusive dialogue and combat discrimination.
