Training Seminar Cyprus

5th-6th of December, 2007. The Training Seminar took place in theUniversity ofCyprus. The Seminars contained a combination of presentations by researchers from the INCLUD-ED project and training workshops. There were a total of 56 participants: primary and secondary school teachers, young researchers and representatives of vulnerable groups.

Training Seminar Hungary

3rd-4th of December, 2007. Budapest (Hungary). The Training Seminar in Hungary was carried out according to the indications of the Guide for the Training Seminar. The INCLUD-ED project was presented including the transformative and exclusionary educational strategies. During the debate special attention was paid to how these transformative and exclusionary strategies affect students with disabilities and those without disabilities. The research methodology of the INCLUD-ED project was also presented. There were about 180 people present, amongst whom were researchers from ELTE and from the National Institute for Educational Research, PhD students, school teachers from regular and special education institutions, and representatives of students with disabilities and special needs from the ELTE Faculties. Also representatives of the national board for people with disabilities, policy-makers from the Ministry of Education and Culture, and people involved in educational policies interested in the role of the administration faced with the new challenges of education also attended this seminar.

Training Seminar Malta

28th-29th of November, 2007. The aim of the Training Seminar was to disseminate the work carried out for Project 1 in the INCLUD-ED project, and, more importantly, to identify areas of research for future doctoral research. The seminar targeted policymakers, teachers, career guidance staff, and educational administrators. 76 people attended the seminar, amongst whom were educators, ministry representatives, NGO representatives and students.

Training Seminar Part II Spain

29th of November, 2007. Bellaterra (Spain).

The second part of the Training Seminar took place in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. This session presented the research carried out for the INCLUD-ED Project. On the one hand the theoretical and methodological framework which the project is based on and which guided the first year of the research was presented. The material presented was aimed at an audience which mainly consisted of students, young researchers and university professors. Around 25 people attended this seminar.

Training Seminar in Finland

The main scientific debates on the exclusionary and transformational educational strategies proposed were presented at the Finnish Training Seminar. These were based on the results of Project 1.

Also there was a debate on policy and educational recommendations. The objective of the Finnish Training Seminar was to promote dialogue between policymakers, stakeholders, members of vulnerable groups, members of the scientific community and young researchers on the main results from previous work packages in Project 1.

The Finnish Training seminar was carried out on the 26th of November inHelsinki. A total of 84 people attended this seminar.
