Dr. Dominique Roe-Sepowitz, Associate Professor of Social Work at Arizona State University (ASU) and director of the Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research Center at ASU, had visited CREA with the purpose of knowing the scientific contributions developed by CREA related to preventive socialization of gender violence, sex trafficking and the social impact of research.

During her visit, the contributions of the R + D research project END-TRAFFICKING Changes and social innovations in the prevention and reduction of trafficking in women for the purpose of sexual exploitation, led by Dr. Lídia Puigvert, were shared along with the research on sex trafficking conducted at the Office of Sex Trafficking Intervention Research Center, Arizona State University. This center leads research projects and social innovative programs in the United States for the prevention and overcoming of sex trafficking, in collaboration with institutions of the states of Arizona and Nevada, and social organizations. Dr. Dominique Roe-Sepowitz is Founding Board Member of the National Research Consortium on Commercial Sexual Exploitation of the United States, member of the Arizona Human Trafficking Council, Editorial Board member of the journal Violence Against Women and Managing Editor of the Journal of Human Trafficking.

This visit generates new opportunities for internationally collaborate to contribute, from scientific evidences, to prevent sex trafficking and to advance in overcoming this serious gender inequality and violation of human rights.
