Statement on the events occurred in Barcelona on September 20, 2017

The present statement refers to the events occurred in Barcelona and we made it from the existing plurality of different cultures, believes, disciplines and diversity of ideologies of the whole society.

Social Sciences are dedicated, among many other things, to the study of current society. In any scientific research on conflict, it is clear that situations as the one that we have now in Catalonia can only be solved satisfactorily through dialogue, as it has been done in Canada and United Kingdom.

Trying to solve these problems by using coercive means is not effective to achieve its goal but, on the contrary, makes coexistence worse.
