Ana Vidu gets a Marie Curie to conduct  “UniswithHeart. Student networks leading the struggle for universities free of sexual violence”

The postdoctoral researcher of the Faculty of Law and member of the EDISPe research team, Ana Vidu,and member of CREA has received a significant contract from the European Commission, Marie Sklodowska-CurieGlobal Fellowship modality, with a duration of three years. The first two years at the University of California-Berkeley, working with Professor Michael Burawoy, and the third at the University of Deusto with Professor Gema Tomás.

This competitive project is part of the Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Program for Research and Innovation. The project is led by the University of Deusto with the University of California-Berkeley, as a partner.

The funded project is entitled: “UniswithHeart. Student networks leading the struggle for universities free of sexual violence: mechanisms to support survivors, inspiring institutional changes for violence prevention“. This pioneering and interdisciplinary study aims to combine the social with the legal perspective for the research of mechanisms for overcoming gender-based violence in universities through support networks, with the aim of achieving social, legislative, and institutional changes for more scientific and humane universities and societies.
